Natasha K. Griffith, President and CEO
Natasha is President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SOTER Bio Consulting, LLC. Natasha is microbiologist by training and subject matter expert in areas of disease surveillance, infectious disease diagnostics, incident/outbreak response, vaccine development/production, high-containment (BSL- 3/ABSL-3, BSL-3Ag, and BSL-4/ABSL-4) laboratory assessments and operations, biorisk (biosafety and biosecurity) management, and dual-use research of concern (DURC). She has supported the US Government (DOS, DOD/DTRA, CDC, etc.) health security and capacity building initiatives for 20+ years across Africa, Middle East, Asia, and Eastern Europe. Through her work, she has engaged with numerous public health, animal health, academic and private research and vaccine production laboratories across Kenya and South Africa. She has designed and led insider threat trainings and exercises in Philippines, Bangladesh and Pakistan to name a few.
Kellan N. Griffith, CFO
Kellan is Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SOTER Bio Consulting, LLC. Kellan joined SOTER as Acting CFO in the fall of 2021 after volunteering for the company since 2019. He is responsible for overseeing various projects’ budgets as well as the overall company budget. Furthermore, Kellan is responsible for determining the viability and cost of different projects in order to determine the optimal strategies to ensure company growth both in the short term and long term. Kellan is a junior and Presidential Scholar in the Honors College at UGA where he is currently working simultaneously on a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Additionally, Kellan has designed and is maintaining SOTER’s website.
Liam G Griffith, Program Manager and International Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator
Liam is Program Manager and International Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator for SOTER Bio Consulting, LLC and SOTER Foundation. Liam joined SOTER team as Program Manager and International Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator in the fall of 2021 after volunteering for the company since 2020. Furthermore, Liam was a driving force behind the establishment of the SOTER Foundation, a nonprofit subsidiary of SOTER Bio Consulting, with a mission to provide educational support to teenagers and young adults from war affected countries of former Yugoslavia. Liam has served as a Program Manager for the Foundation since its inception on October 30, 2020. Liam is a senior in the honors program at the Midtown International Highschool in Atlanta, GA and is attending classes at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Oglethorpe University. He is currently applying to colleges with the hope to pursue degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Programming.
William (Bill) D. Arndt, SME
Bill is virologist by training and Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas of disease surveillance, infectious disease diagnostics, incident/outbreak response, vaccine development/production, high-containment (BSL- 3/ABSL-3, BSL-3Ag, and BSL-4/ABSL-4) laboratory operations, biorisk (biosafety and biosecurity) management, and dual-use research of concern (DURC). He has supported the US Government (DOS, DOD/DTRA, CDC, etc.) health security and capacity building initiatives for 15+ years across Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Through his work, he has engaged with numerous public health, animal health, academic research and vaccine production laboratories across Kenya and South Africa.
Vibeke (Vips) Halkjaer-Knudsen, SME
Vips is a Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas related to bio and chemical risk management, incident management and response, dual-use materials, and high containment lab design. She performs multidimensional impact- and risk assessments from a product-, GMP-, environment-, health and safety-, emergency preparedness-, animal welfare, chemical- and biological point of view, and has extensive experience with lab design and sustainable solutions on all continents.
She has been involved in a wide variety of high containment building projects either as primary project manager, supervising all aspects involving design, construction, and commissioning, or as supervisor and SME. The building projects include several complex animal, BSL2, BSL3-enhanced, GMO, and large-scale high containment GMP vaccine facilities including small animal (rodents), large animal (cows), Polio, Pertussis, and BCG vaccine facilities.
